What happens before the shoot?

Be sure to try on all your outfit changes so you are happy and comfortable with them.

The night before the session get a good nights sleep and drink lots of water.

It makes such a difference to the glow in your skin come the photo shoot day!

What happens during the shoot?

We’ll meet at our location, and go over your outfits. You may be nervous, but you really don’t have to be – I’m very easy to get along with (I love to talk!) and will make you feel comfortable!

A parent or BFF are good helpers with the clothing and accessories)

No need to worry about how you’re going to pose, I will be instructing you along the way & after a couple minutes I’m sure you will loving it so much you will be happy to strike your own poses!

What happens after the shoot?

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

What should I wear?

  • 4 outfits (for seniors) is a great amount for variety. I can assist you in selecting the best looks to make your senior portrait session a great experience. Keep in mind sitting, standing, leaning, etc. for a variety of poses so jeans, pants or shorts are always a good option for one (or more) outfit.

  • For families I suggest picking a color palette and “match without matching”. Feel free to mix patterns but stay within 3 to 4 colors for everyone.

  • Layering is great too! Feel free to add a jean jacket or sweater/pullover (guys) to an outfit

  • Don’t forget the proper undergarments for each outfit

  • Avoid anything with a large label, brand name or graphic - this is very distracting for photos

  • Pay attention to footwear - we take a lot of full length shots too

  • Classic / timeless looks and colors are always a good choice and never go out of style

Can I share my images on social media?

Absolutely! All of our Collections include digital images for reprinting (up to 8x12 in size) and/or sharing on social media. There is also an option to purchase a la carte digital images

How can I best prepare?

  • Guys and girls - clean up those eyebrows and trim your nails. A manicure or pedicure is not necessary but a neutral nail polish looks great.

  • Makeup when properly applied beautifully highlights your eyes, plays up bone structure, and nicely evens out complexion. Getting makeup professionally done is a great idea too! It photographs really well.

  • HIGHLY recommend Jennifer Swift for makeup! 303-589-9530 (call/text preferred)

  • Bring with you all your outfit changes,

neatly pressed in garment bags with all your accessories and props too. Depending on the location, extra flip flops/comfy sandals can be a good idea for walking between spots.

How quickly will I receive my photos?

We know waiting is the hardest part! The images will be online 3-5 days

before our ordering appointment. Final prints and products take 2-3 weeks after being ordered.

What do your sessions include?

A super fun time! The session normally lasts about 1+ hours. Afterwards, you will have a about 40-50 images to choose from at your ordering appointment.

You do not have to make any final decisions until the day of your ordering appointment.

You will see your proofs online before we meet to order.

Will you retouch my photos?

I am happy to do retouching as needed. My style is to keep your images looking very natural but if we need to remove a blemish or fix stray hairs, it’s no problem!
